Chief is a dynamic beat-maker. His music has been best described as filling the gap between classic beat-making and forward-thinking production. He's well known both for his solo work and for producing established and upcoming rappers/singers alike such as Aloe Blacc, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Moka Only, Blu, AG, Marc Mac of 4heroe, Jneiro Jarel, Co$$, John Robinson, Kissey Asplund, Dynas, Les Nubians, Sene, or Abstract Rude, just to name a few.

In 2009 Chief released his acclaimed debut album, Collabo Collection, which was greeted very positively by both media and fans. In 2011 he released the instrumental album Drone Beats & Electric Waves, a collection of haunting and bewitching instrumentals specifically crafted for this project. The album showcased Chief's technical deftness, while letting musicality take the front seat. His production exhibited a rich pallet of moods and atmospheres.

The following years saw Chief release more successful projects, such as the album We The Prolific with John Robinson or Echo Chamber, a free download project. He toured the U.S., South Africa, and Europe, sharing the stage with Flying Lotus, Hudson Mohawke, Gilles Peterson, Mala, Lefto, MF Doom, Gaslamp Killer, Peanut Butter Wolf, Dam Funk, Moka Only, BLU, and more.

A new album called Leaf, in collaboration with beat-maker Deheb, was released in Fall 2015. Chief is also the founder of Feelin’ Music, a music production label. From hybrid electric beats to mesmerizing urban soundscapes, from cloudy ambiences to sophisticated soulful bangers, Chief's production showcases the moods and aptitudes of an innovative producer capable of intelligently blending electronic influences and hip-hop roots to the best effect.
